Financial Assistance

If you need financial assistance for next year, you must fill out the F.A.S.T. (Financial Aid for School Tuition) application on-line at F.A.S.T by March 31.

2018-2019 Staffing Plan

As many of you already know, Mrs. Brown will be retiring at the conclusion of this current school year and Mrs. Bell will be leaving to join her husband as he continues his theological studies in England.

With our need to combine first and second grade next year due to low enrollment, there will not be a need to replace Mrs. Brown’s position.

It was also decided by the Department of Day School Education upon recommendation, to move Mrs. Fuhrmann, our current 4yr preschool teacher into the kindergarten position.  We will now begin the search to hire a teacher for the 4yr preschool classroom.

We ask god’s blessings on this plan and that he lead and guide us in our search for a 4yr preschool teacher.

REENROLLMENT

2018-2019 reenrollment forms have been sent home with your youngest child. It is critical to our budget process that we have a solid idea as early as possible of how many students will return. It is our prayer that 100% of grades K-7 return for next year.

Please return your registration forms as soon as possible.

More Auction!

Parents,

It’s that time of year and we’re working hard behind the scenes to prepare for the 15th Annual Auction. Our focus for the next week will be donations and we need your help.

A donation letter was emailed to all families. Please forward this letter to anyone you know that might consider making a donation of a gift card, or any new item(s) for auction. You may pick up additional letters in the school office, or call to request we mail a letter to a business you think might be interested in supporting this wonderful cause. We’re looking for items for both the silent and live auctions. Our booklet will be going to print really soon, so drop off items in the school office ASAP. Thanks in advance to those who have already dropped items off – keep em’ coming 🙂

Most of the funds raised at the auction go to support our scholarship fund. The need for help has become more in the last few years.  With your help, we are able to allow others to experience not only the quality Christian education that Our Savior Lutheran School provides, but also God’s love as shown through us and our children. I personally am always overwhelmed by what we are able to accomplish TOGETHER during this event!

This year our theme will include a 1920’s style mystery…I’m excited to see all of you there. Ticket information will be sent home next week. Our favorite weather man will be returning as our live auctioneer! Please contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks so much – Tracy Hannon

ATTENTION  NEW FAMILIES…

AND THOSE WHO HAVE WANTED TO GET MORE INVOLVED WITH YOUR CHILD’S SCHOOL…

This is your invitation!!

JOIN US ON SATURDAY, MARCH 3 FOR AN EVENING TO REMEMBER!

Our 15th Annual Dinner Auction “The Great GASPby” a 1920’s Mystery Dinner

YES!…You CAN Help with Our Dinner Auction!

If you haven’t already heard, our annual Dinner/Auction is our biggest fundraiser…and THE social event of the year! This year’s date is set for Saturday, March 3, 2018 and YOUR school will need LOTS of help to make it successful.

The next time you visit, simply ask for a donation or gift card from: your hair stylist, nail salon, tanning salon, dentist (teeth whitening!), car mechanic, oil change, favorite restaurant or coffee shop, boutique, dry cleaners…ANY business you frequent!

As most of you are aware, we rely heavily on donations to make this event a success. Everyone can get involved by requesting a donation – or two – for this GREAT cause while you are visiting your favorite stores, salons and restaurants. Letters are available in the school office. No donation is too small and all donations are tax deductible.  If you’d prefer, just send the contact information to the school office and someone will make the request.

Auctions and fund raisers of this type are becoming more popular. Business owners and other donors seem more likely to donate to an event that helps out someone they know or will benefit a place they are familiar with. Not only is this a perfect opportunity for outreach but a way we can help our school keep doing wonderful things!

We will also need as many helpers as possible on our final set-up day Friday, March 2!

If your kids are spending the afternoon with their grandparents, please consider spending the afternoon helping with the final touches for the BIG EVENT. Get to know some other school parents a little better while sharing some laughs, good times and little work for our kids. We will provide lunch for parents able to be here during lunchtime.  Please let us know you are coming so we can plan accordingly.

We will also be looking for many helpers to help the afternoon and evening of the auction on March 3. We will need help running final errands and people to take shifts helping with check-in, check-out, room closings, liquor ticket sales and other tasks throughout the evening. See Tracy Hannon with any questions!

AUCTION ITEM SUGGESTIONS

PLEASE SEND IN YOUR DONATIONS TO THE SCHOOL OFFICE BY WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 14.

 Easy enough for EVERYONE!

The next time you visit, simply ask for a donation or gift card from: your hair stylist, nail salon, tanning salon, dentist (teeth whitening!), car mechanic, oil change, favorite restaurant or coffee shop, boutique, dry cleaners…ANY business you frequent!
